Hola and bienvenido to the first of the Ticket to Ride Costa Rica Blogs 2011!
Well i’ve been here for two days now, the jet lag is fading away and i am overwhelmed by the paradise that surounds me! The surf has been really fun, i have managed to find some really good uncrowded banks a five minute walk from the Funky Monkey Lodge. The waves here are perfect for all standards of surfer and Gorge who i have met with today is a bit of a legend around these parts and has given me all the local inside info. The riders are going to love him as a surf coach. Linnea is lovely and Just walking through the yoga area made me feel very relaxed. I’m sure i’ll find my zen during the lessons!
The guys at the Funky Monkey have been very welcoming and i feel at home already. The food is amazing and the location is perfect. I have had a swim in the pool and enjoyed a few beers in the bar with the very entertaining and friendly barman/manager Nhoel.
I can not get over how friendly everybody is out here i suppose they have no reason to be unhappy, the weather is great, they’re eating fantastic healthy food and they surf everyday in boardies and bikini’s. Cant wait for the riders to arrive! Im Stoked to be here! Keep checking for the next blog as soon as they all arrive!
